That Garner team has some of the ugliest coaches that I have ever seen I mean my god!!!!!!! Way to go Wilders Grove you youngters played hard all season with only having a few players that played football before you guys should be proud of yourself!!!!!!
I would like to thank NBC for spotlighting GARNER TROJANS TINY MITE WHITE…. BOY I have watch this a thousand times. My boy (BJ #BJ) has we call him LIL RAYRAY put Wilders Grove in a hole. I would all so like 2 THANK those very HANDSOME coaches for letting BJ do what he does BEST, BONE CRUSH his opponents… Great tackle BABY, sorry LIL RAYRAY. Be easy on your offending time, SIKE do what you do.
Why was a Garner team that was 8-0 at the time of the game facing a Wilders Grove team that was 4-3-1 in the bowl game? From my understanding the bowl game is to matched up with teams with similar records, it appears that the Garner coaching staff lied to the CFF commission in order to get a lesser opponent in order to protect their perfect record. Thats a coward move! And the Garner team only scored once in the game the final score was 6-0. Wilders Grove has a great team with great coaches way to go!!!!!!!
Wow, the haters are here! The Garner coaches have great respect for the WG coaches. The WG team did a great job and we know many of their players “keeping it real”. The Garner coaches did indeed tell the commissioners our record -we rated ourselves strong. The comissioners in charge of the Bowl Games for TM did not want teams to travel too far and they admitted they made a mistake.Thus our game against you. This is little kid football. That is all. There are no NFL scouts here, just moms and dads rooting for thier kids on both sides of the field.The kids and coaches prayed together – did you miss that? About 90% of our kids were new to this season as well and we were very blessed by very talented coaches who LOVE not just their players, but all the players on both sides.Did you miss it when our coaches RAN out to help one of the little boys on your team when they got hurt? Did you know that we contacted a good friend of ours in the WG program to ask about him? WG has a super program – so does Garner. We don’t apologize for that, we are proud of it and our now 9 -0 record. Really, it is not that serious – just a good time for all of our kids – WG and Garner!
Grow up WG. 1st of all, LS if you are an adult, you should be ashamed of yourself calling the coaching staff ‘ugly’. I mean what’s up with that? and for you, ‘keeping it real’, Garner begged and pleaded to play Durham, NOT Wilder’s. We are smart enough and classy enough to know that wasn’t a good match up. Well, all I can say again is Grow up. This is about the kids… not the sore loser parents. The reason we were 8-0 is because we worked hard and didn’t act like a bunch of immature, iggnorant babies. I will pray for the WG children that their parents and/or staffing team can get their act together for the sake of the kids. Are we in 8th grade again posting such nonsense (ugly coaches and false assumptions that we asked to play a 4-3 team). I mean really… GROW UP
Obviously you were hurt by the outcome of the game, but both the Garner and WG coaches were focusing on being competive, pursuing excellence,teaching the game of football, reinforcing the importance of academics, citizenship and sportsmanship as well. You may not have noticed, but the Garner Coaches and the WG coaches took turns praying for our athletes to learn the aforementioned qualities.
Instead of sending out insults about my coaching staff, focus on assisting the athletes to be the best people they can be through the principles that Christ asked us to follow. When we do that, then EVERYONE will feel good about themselves regardless if we win or lose. You and your family will be in my prayers today.Please keep in mind that Channel 17 is providing this as an outlet for youth sports and to honor our kids. Lets not disrespect the good they bring to our community. You may want to consider apologizing for your behavior.
LS, were you there to support the children learn the techniques of football or were you there to look for a husband, hence checking out the coaches and what they looked like? Clearly the Garner coaches are all men of God representing Christ and if you had any substance you would be praying for all the kids and the coaches who are there volunteering their time to ensure the kids are learning and developing in sports. The Garner coaches are an excellent example of the type of men we all should want interacting with our children!!!!!
We missed that show when did it air. Did anyone record it I would love to see it. I was just reading everyones blog and WOW all I can do is laugh. What are we doing people this is a kids league and I can’t believe how everyone is behaving. All of the kids did a good job this year and next year they will do an even better job. I signed my son up for football to teach him something. This behavior and commentary teaches him nothing. I am glad I looked at this blog before I let my son read it becasue I don’t want him reading any of this. Sometimes as parents we get a little carried away when it comes to our kids but come on this was taking it a little far. I don’t think I am going to let my son read this because he worked to hard as did all of the kids on both teams to have their hard work be littled like this. Everyone needs to grow up and show a little sportsmanship or don’t play the game. You know the old saying if you can’t take the heat get out of the kitchen.

Keeping it real I can understand your concern about the Wilders Grove team playing a team which was 8-0 but the WG team played very tough and only lost by one touchdown. That #7 the QB and #1 the LB on Wilders Grove kept their team in the game #7 seems to have a strong arm. I am a Tiny mite coach from another team that watched the game. We had a weak team,out of all the teams we played and we played both WG and Garner before that #7 on WG the Quarterback was the 2nd best QB that I seen next to the Durham kid I would love to have #7 and #1 on my team!!!!!!
First of all, I want to congratulate all of the teams for a good season…to some it may not have been what you wanted but at least you got a chance to play in Pop Warner…Way to Go Garner Trojans for an undefeated season…..ok lets talk about the comments from what it appears to be a disgruntle wg parent or friend.. First of all, we (Garner Trojans) did not want to play against wg. We wanted Durham. Why Durham, you ask? Well it was because they were undefeated like we were doing the season. I would have loved to see our boys against them. We needed the competition and let the truth be known, none of the teams we played this season gave us any competition. There were teams that couldn’t even get a first down on garner and if I am not mistaken only 2 or 3 teams actually scored on us. In other words were were the Boston Celtics and everyone else was the NJ Nets (lol) I hate to say it but the truth will set you free. We had other teams come to our games and videotape us, trying to imitate us and find ways to beat us. That was fine, because it you don’t have the right players to run the plays, the plays are no good .Garner could not help that at this particular season we had the right boys at the right time. It’s sad to hear about some parents and friends from the other teams find it necessary to belittle our coaches and our team record. Hey get over it. You can’t change it, we are still undefeated and if I must say myself, if feels SO GOOOODDDDD!!!! Stop drinking that hater-ade and go buy some Gatorade—it tastes much better!!! We must understand that the ones that wrote such crazy statements are our HATERS!!! Yes it amazes me that a kids ranging from 5 to 7 have adults that are hating on them.. But that’s what HATERS do…THEY HATE!!!!
To Keeping it real, the first time we played against your team (wilders grove) lets not forget that score. We gave you and every other team the same but kicking—NO DISCRIMINATION. It would have been even worse if they haven’t called back a couple of our touchdowns and I have the video to show for all of garner games. So since you find it necessary to call us cowards, why didn’t we request the team that we beat worse than your team? MEN LIE, WOMEN LIE BUT THE SCORE DOESN’T LIE. Oh and by the way in the bowl game we scored more than once on wilders grove, the problem was, once again, we had several of our touchdowns called back because of penalties. Let’s tell the full story please.
To the garner family, as far as I am concerned, we had the best quarterbacks; we had the best running backs, wide receivers and the best offensive and defensive line HANDS DOWN for this season. THAT’S WHY WE WERE UNDEFEATED…CAN WE SAY THAT TOGETHER –UNDEFEATED—WOW!!!! How many teams can actually say that? Stay Bless everyone and until next time-GO GARNER TROJANS!!!!!!
This goes out to Crystal if a touchdown is called back because of a penalty guess what something was done wrong IT’S NOT A TOUCHDOWN!!!!! have you ever heard of holding? You need to stay home and watch Lifetime network or something lol. Also I dont think the posts are hating on the kids its more like towards the so called “ugly coaches” lol. I am a mother of 2 young boys that play basketball in Durham so I know most coaches lie to parents about wanting to play the best competition they really just wanna ego trip on wins! Also the last time i checked score is not kept in Tiny mite games.
Tiny Mite White Garner Trojans Family – We had such a wonderful season and do not let other peoples poor behavior take that away from us. We had a fun season with lots of cook outs, cupcakes and hot chocolate and yummy rewards. We had a super academic tracking program for our boys that made a big difference. We worked hard everyday and it showed up on the field every Saturday. We don’t have to explain ourselves – our excellence did it for us. This is what happens when you have a super season! We will work even harder now next season to silence them – that is all. With half of our team being 5 & 6, next years TMW will be the BOMB too! Our MM Blue team will be just as great! Enjoy your Christmas with your families!!
first of all i will not be responding back and forth to blogs about our team because our record speaks for itself so this will be the last response from me…for the person that said i need to watch lifetime (lol-one point for you) guess what, lifetime is on all day..Apparently my family and i took time out to go to every game on saturdays and watched our son and his team beat every team they played…Can anyone say they beat the Garner Tiny Mite Trojan this year??? Nope!!! A lost is a lost and a win is a win, Thank You (LOL)…and yes you are right they dont keep score in tiny mite games..but we know who won (LOL)!!! Just think about it, if people wasnt keeping score and records there wouldnt be a need to blog (am i moving to fast for you, stay with me because i am almost finish lol)..in regards to the “ugly coaches” remarks, why even make a ignorant remark like that??? i dont know about any other teams but in garner, we are all a family..when you talk about one, you’re pretty much talking about the whole group..Thats having love for one’s team (coaches are included)…thats why there is such an uproar over the ridiculous comments made by 2 or 3 people. And for the LAST TIME to all the garner family, friends, and HATERS (LOL) (because right about now this is getting real old and childish)have a blessed day, congratulations to all THE POP WARNER TEAMS and good job GARNER TROJANS for going 9-0 for this season.
There is obviously some kid or an extremely immature, uneduated parent (yes, parents like you should take a test and get approved before having children) is using my tag name (Gina Mac). This is the real Gina Mac speaking, anyone that knows me, knows I would never call anyone such ugly names (even if I do not like them). Also anyone that knows the real Gina Mac knows that she surely does know her football. Grew up with is on my daddy’s lap and quite fankly (no offense) know more than most men and coaches about the game. But I love you all!! We were so relieved to hear that your son was well! Our prayers were with him and it certainly meant a lot to us when we heard he was at home where he needed to be, with his family. Praise God for his healthful state and we know he will be out there hitting and running next season!Super season Wilder’s Grove and how about those Wilders Grove cheerleaders? I really pray that none of the children represent themselves in a way that some of these post are represented. We should remain positive and continue to be motivators in our childrens lives. Children imitate what they see. My prayer is that they have something positive to represent when they leave home to take to the classrooms, playgrounds and the football field.
This was an outstanding game. Wilder’s Grove played extremely well against this undefeated team. Hats off to both sides of the field!

Yeah to Khalil WG#1 my little brother played very hard! This was his first year playing and he did a great job. He was definitely a beast on the football field. I can’t wait until next season. I am a very proud sister!!!
